Along with Studio 83 and CYLF Young Ambassadors, we will brighten up 600 left-behind children’s summer with arts and sports in June and support the development of their School Social Worker project.
'Left-behind children’ are rural children whose parents have left home to find jobs in cities. This issue has become a social problem in Gansu, and other provinces in China. Researches have alarmed how parents’ migration to work in cities affects the wellbeing of left-behind children, in terms of physical health, nutrition, education and development.
By visiting 4 project schools in Gansu from June 20 to 24 and inspiring them with arts and sports for the future development of their after school activities through the “School Social Worker” project, our target for this fundraising project is HKD150,000. All the fund raised will be used to support the psycho-social wellbeing and self-empowerment of left-behind children in Gansu. Your gift, no matter the amount, will help brighten up hundreds of left-behind children's day.
